Per-backer incremental cost includes entered unit, packaging, freight, fulfillment, other per-unit cost, and reserve. Fixed tooling and other fixed costs are added once.
Limits
Do not double-count costs already included in manufacturing or fulfillment quotes. This calculator does not set an unlock threshold.

Use the result in a design decision
An unlock amount is campaign messaging, not proof that the upgrade is funded. Compare cost at current and final backers, then check whether the base pledge already includes any of these costs before approving the goal.
